Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using VNC.com, you agree to these Terms of Use and the policies linked from them. If you do not agree, do not use the site. VNC.com is operated by RealVNC Limited. These terms apply to visitors and registered members.
Registration and age
You must be at least 16 years old to register. When you create an account, provide accurate information and keep it current. Registration may require email verification. We may refuse or close an account when necessary to enforce these terms, protect the service, or meet a legal requirement.
Your account responsibilities
You are responsible for activity under your account. Choose a strong, unique password, keep login details confidential, and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account. Do not share, sell, or transfer an account. Do not create an account for another person without permission or use an account to evade a restriction.
Content you post
Your original content stays yours. When you post it to VNC.com, you grant VNC.com a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, and display that content as needed to operate and present the site. The license also lets us retain an anonymized contribution when needed to preserve the sense of a public discussion after an account closes.
You must have the rights needed to post your content. Do not post confidential information, personal data you lack permission to share, or material that infringes another person’s copyright or other rights. You remain responsible for what you submit.
Acceptable behavior
Use the service lawfully and treat other members fairly. The Community Guidelines explain how to participate constructively. The Acceptable Use Policy lists prohibited uses. We may moderate content and accounts under the Moderation and Reporting Policy.
VNC.com content and links
Articles and other VNC.com editorial material may be linked to and quoted in reasonable extracts with clear attribution to VNC.com. Unless a page states otherwise, these terms do not grant permission to republish a complete article, remove attribution, or use VNC.com branding in a way that suggests endorsement.
Vendor pages may link to downloads maintained by third-party projects or companies. Those downloads are governed by their own licenses and terms. A listing or link does not transfer ownership, change the relevant software license, or promise that a download is suitable for your system.
Community advice and availability
Community answers are contributed by members with varied experience. They are provided for general information, without a warranty that they are accurate, complete, secure, or suitable for a particular system. Back up important data, confirm commands before running them, and use official support for account, billing, licensing, or security-critical matters.
We do not promise uninterrupted access or that every error will be corrected. We may change, suspend, or withdraw features when needed for maintenance, security, or service development.
