Start here: what this community is for, and what it is not

This is a working space for people who run VNC in the real world. Ask about the thing that is actually broken in front of you, share what you found out, correct us when we get something wrong.

A few things worth knowing before you post:

• Say which software, which version, and which operating system. Questions that leave this out are hard to answer.
• Paste the error text rather than describing it. Exact strings are searchable; paraphrases are not.
• Reading needs no account. Posting does.

We would rather have one thread that solves a real problem than fifty that look busy.
