RealVNC Connect 8.5.2 released (August 2026)
RealVNC released RealVNC Connect 8.5.2 in August 2026; its release notes list two new features:
- The homepage gains a server status indicator that shows whether the device is ready for incoming connections: green when it is ready, yellow when issues may affect future connections, and red when incoming connections are currently blocked.
- Clicking the indicator opens more detail on each issue, with a "Resolve" action, where possible, that either lets you fix it in place or opens the relevant setting, and a "Learn more" link for each issue that points to a Knowledge Base article.
