UltraVNC 1.8.2.9 released (September 2026)

UltraVNC announced version 1.8.2.9 on its forum on 8 September 2026, dating the release September 2026. The changelog lists four changes:

• The mouse cursor no longer shows a purple halo.
• Non-ASCII characters in info messages (-InfoMsg) now display properly.
• When the Viewer loads per-connection settings, command-line options are now re-applied correctly.
• A crash or stability problem when the server identifies the operating system version is fixed.
